Activity

Below is the list of activities accomplished for the period of existence:

• 24 concerts of classical music to present the world and folk music to the audience with both the established musicians and talented young people and the children with limited opportunities. The most significant were the concerts organized at the request of the embassies of Poland, Spain and Germany;
• 7 exhibitions (paints, floristic and jewelry);
• 2 art competitions of children affected by cerebral paralysis who take the ART Therapy classes organized by Constellation Art Club;
• 4 art-music-and-poetry nights “Signing of My Homeland, Nature and Love”, “Like One Hundred Salutes the Lilac is ”, “Under Sweet-Scented Lilac…” and “Lilac Waft” 3 of which have also presented the lilac flower shows;
• 4 Traditional City Lilac Festivals dedicated to the world famous lilac breeders Maryam Sagitova and Tadeusz Dzevitsky;
• 3 International Flower Festivals;
• Charity campaigns organized jointly with the International and Diplomatic Women’s Clubs.

Key outcome: Conservation activities focused on the unique genetic fund of lilac as the symbol of Almaty City supported by SGP GEF UNDP grant. Development of the new lilac garden in the suburb of Almaty City, lilac growing and breeding activities to select the new varieties.
